Terms & Conditions

Making a purchase @ AVIN

The first question our customers usually have is what the lead time is upon ordering their Oven. The waiting period you are looking at would be +/-3 weeks (it really can be much sooner) after placing an order and securing your deposit. We do try and ultimately accommodate our clients should they require their order earlier, however AVIN prides itself in flawless quality and will always make the best decision based on the production line status to ensure that any order goes through the required quality testing. Remember that AVIN is handmade and assembled, made to order, ensuring each and every product receives the attention to detail it deserves!

AVIN does personally deliver at cost within a certain radius within Cape Town. Should the client go the personal delivery route of AVIN, the following applies: The items will be delivered by AVIN personnel.  The AVIN will be transported via company vehicle. Bubble wrapped, strapped and secured in the vehicle, then unpackaged, polished and placed in the area the customer has allocated at their residence/company. We will most likely ask permission to take an image or two for marketing  purposes  should the client allow us to do so.

Courier options are available and will also be quoted for separately as per area provided by the client. AVIN also permits the customer to collect or courier in their personal capacity – whichever option is preferred by the customer. It is however very important to note that this personal preferred method of receiving goods, is at the customers own risk and once the products leave the premise of the manufacturer that AVIN is not held liable for any delays or damages that might occur. AVIN follows a strict procedure of letting the designated courier/collector check and sign that the products have been received in perfect condition before dispatching.

Should the client go the courier route which AVIN has quoted on, the products are all firstly bubble wrapped and then packaged into a crate or should the client prefer a cheaper option – a Styrofoam mould specifically designed for the product, which is then also covered with bubble wrap and a durable protective plastic.  AVIN does however not promote the cheaper option should the area for travelling be one of distance, where the delivery could take longer than a day. AVIN strongly suggests the selection of the crate packaging as this is the preferred option of AVIN. Our products are of high quality and this, including presentation is equally important. We would like to ensure that our customers receive their orders in perfect condition. Again AVIN will ensure the courier designated for the delivery will be held liable to check and sign that the products have been received in perfect condition before dispatching.

Guarantee, Warranty & Payment voids

All products advertised on this website and sold within South Africa have a warranty/guarantee. On condition that the item isn’t tampered with.

Chimney alterations require installation by a trained professional, our prices shown online do not include installation of
these and the customer is responsible to arrange this themselves.
All items offered for sale from our website do not require any assembling as such, only the chimney and door need
to be placed on the Oven when unwrapped.

Please contact us for further information regarding installation for products shown on our website.

Where installation is being undertaken on behalf of or by the purchasing party then relevant experience and qualifications should be held by installation engineers. Failure to use correctly trained professionals for installation of equipment may
invalidate any warranty. AVIN reserves the right to request installation and commissioning documentation
where this has been completed by a third party.

Any work, including installation, carried out by non-authorized agents may render the warranty invalid.
Where parts or equipment is not of the companies manufacture, our liability is confined to the guarantee
given to us by the maker. We do not undertake to pay for the cost of disconnecting or reconnecting
any equipment/parts or the carriage charges involved in returning it to us.

AVIN – The Company and its owners/employees will not be held liable for direct or indirect losses, arising from any
such injury, illness, damage, loss accident, or expense including consequential loss or economic loss. To avoid any unnecessary
costs to the AVIN or your surroundings, ensure the guidelines set out above are followed. The use of any AVIN products
and the procedure thereof on every account has been outlined above. By using any AVIN products, you are acknowledging
that you have reviewed all corresponding rules/regulations and agree to be bound by them. AVIN accepts no liability
in respect of any loss or damage resulting from the negligence of the customer.

In the event that the Company’s branded detail is removed or tampered with, of the relevant purchased
product, such a claim to warranty shall from that moment be forfeited, and become entirely void and unenforceable.

Title of the good are only dispatched and passed to the buyer when full payment has been received by the Company.

Deposits are 100% non refundable.

AVIN commits to clear communication, manufacturing lead times and to ensure all orders are done to spec as per requirements provided by clients/third parties.

Where discounts are applicable, even more so, payments need to be done on time. Should payments not occur in a timeous manner, any and all discounts will fall away and the client will be invoiced in full. Any delays from customers are at the customers own risk and the order – even if settled in full, will become completely void within 6 months of no liaison or communication, unless special arrangements have been made between AVIN and the client.

COLLECTIONS & DELIVERIES

Transportation options are available and will also be quoted for separately as per area provided by the client. AVIN also permits the customer to collect or make use of their transporter of choice –  whichever option is preferred by the customer. It is however very important to note that this personal preferred method of receiving goods, is at the customers own risk and once the products leave the premise of the manufacturer that AVIN is not held liable for any delays or damages that might occur. Should the customer arrange their own collection, AVIN will still package the order and charge the customer as no products are allowed to leave the factory without it. A zero tolerance policy applies and this is for the protection of the order and the customer. Various rules and regulations have to be adhered to and clearly stated on the packaging to ensure the courier follows all the rules. AVIN follows a strict procedure of letting the designated courier/collector check and sign that the products have been received in perfect condition before dispatching. Should the client go the courier route which AVIN has quoted on, the products are all firstly bubble wrapped and then packaged with a Styrofoam mould specifically designed for the product, which is then also covered with bubble wrap and a durable protective plastic and finally strapped onto a pallet. AVIN does however not promote this option should the area for travelling be one of extreme distance, where the delivery could take longer than three days. Here, AVIN strongly suggests the selection of crate packaging. Our products are of high quality and this, including presentation is equally important. We would like to ensure that our customers receive their orders in perfect condition. Again AVIN will ensure the transporter designated for the delivery will be held liable to check and sign that the products have been received in perfect condition before dispatching. It is also very important for the customer to inspect the goods upon receiving before signing for it to eliminate any possible damages that might have been caused during the courier route. Once the product has been signed for, no liability will be accepted for any damages, (if at all the fault of the transporter) if this procedure is not followed. Collection of your order will be at the closest depot in your area and/or door-to door. Very important information – kindly take not that drivers are not allowed to carry heavy objects. Max weight they are allowed to lift is 50kg. (The same rule applies when companies load airplanes, if a person’s back gets injured due to carrying heavy goods, the company can be sued for millions.) The ovens are much heavier and 2 people cannot carry (STD 85 plus pallet and 150 plus pallet) Normally there is only 1, maybe 2 driver/s in a vehicle and hence assistance for offloading and placing in designated area will be the responsibility of the customer. We prefer advising this to all customers from the start as we would like to ensure there are no grey areas on expectations when dispatch day comes. The product is only allowed to be removed from the pallet at the premises in the presence of the customer or designated person.
